Binn Ecopark masterplanning

The Binn Ecopark, Glenfarg, Perthshire

November 2023

We are delighted to have been appointed by the Binn Group to work with their team in the development of a masterplan for the Binn Ecopark into 2024. This develops our work in the energy and industrial sectors and supports the Binn Group integrate their business operations as a platform to enable regional economic investment in clean tech, food production and climate adaptation processes.

The masterplan will connect a wide range of renewable energy generation resources at the park including wind, anaerobic digestion, energy from waste, hydrogen, solar and recycling and waste recovery, to develop an integrated infrastructure and land use strategy that can enabled accelerated investment in commercial and industrial facilities at the 100 acre site. The masterplan will be shaped through engagement with a range of stakeholders, including industry, communities and regulators to provide a land use strategy that draws on the Binn Groups’ experience in the circular economy to support research and development, scalable manufacturing and production and skills development within clean tech sectors. The work will inform a future Masterplan Consent Area for the site and the review Local Development Plan (3).
