Mobility hubs

Transport is crucial for both commercial logistics and the property interests of landowners. But it’s changing. Which is why we’re developing ways to support the decarbonisation of transport.

Our focus has been on decarbonising HGV’s and supporting opportunities for innovative mobility services, collaborating on use case trials with public and private partners. We’ve also worked on developing a series of mobility hubs to provide infrastructure that will enable the transition to clean fuels.

The Angus Rural Mobility Hub

A 40-acre mixed-use mobility hub in Brechin, providing HGVs with clean fuel from bio Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and green hydrogen. This is integrated with last-mile logistics and a public transport hub, with an innovation platform for trialling new mobility services. Early trials, including extended visual line of sight drone deliveries, helped prove the business case.

This project is being delivered through partnership between Dalhousie Estates and Angus Council as part of the Tay Cities Deal and Mercury Fund.

Perth Eco Innovation Park

This 50-acre mixed-use commercial site forms the first stage of the Perth West expansion, and will provide a strategic commercial site for the city for the next 10 years. Infrastructure is being designed to enable a local renewable energy platform, integrated with a digital framework, to attract low-carbon businesses to Perth.

The mobility hub will provide a range of public transport services, including mobility as a service (MAAS), car share, micro mobility and Demand Responsive Travel (DRT). This is all integrated with a last-mile logistics centre to support the decarbonisation of transport within the city and planned new neighbourhoods.

The project is being delivered in a collaboration between the landowner, the John Dewar Lamberkin Trust, and Perth & Kinross Council, with grant funding through the Tay Cities Deal.
